Comanche County Telephone Co. Inc. ,(CCTC), is proud to announce the availability of Wireless Broadband Internet Access. This new service will be offered to those customers who are out of the DSL range, but within 5-7 miles of Comanche, De Leon, Dublin, Gorman, and Sidney. Wireless does not require a phone line therefore this service will not tie up your telephone while active. Customers who are interested in Broadband must be able to access a point-to-point communication tower in which a tower may be required at the customers' location and installed by the customer. This tower should be constructed of material capable of handling mounting brackets for the CCTC wireless antenna, approximately 2" in diameter. CCTC will set the wireless antenna on the customer tower and run the cable necessary to the customer's computer. The hardware requirements for customer's PC for Wireless Broadband will also require a network card which the customer is responsible for. The speed of this new service will be offered at 384K unlimited access for a charge of $35.95 per month or 768K unlimited access at $49.95 per month.
